Production Flow
Carbon steel seamless steel pipe production process
Raw material preparation:
First, select appropriate carbon steel materials, such as carbon steel plates or steel billets as raw materials. The raw materials are then subjected to pre-processing processes such as cutting, trimming and cleaning.
Heating and perforation:
The pretreated carbon steel material is heated to the appropriate temperature, usually using induction heating or resistance heating. The heated material is punched through a punch to form the initial shape of a seamless tube.
Hot rolled or cold drawn:
Hot rolling is a process of continuous rolling of the perforated tube blank to further process and change the size and shape of the tube blank. Cold drawing uses a drawing machine to cold-process hot-rolled tube blanks to obtain higher dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
Heat treatment:
Heat treatment is to anneal or normalize the cold drawn pipe to improve its mechanical properties and structural organization.
Pickling and cleaning:
After heat treatment, carbon steel seamless pipes need to be pickled to remove surface oxides and impurities. Then clean it to ensure the surface of the pipe is clean and smooth.
Inspection and Quality Control:
Strict inspections are conducted on the carbon steel seamless pipes produced, including appearance inspection, dimensional measurement, chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, etc., to ensure that the products comply with relevant standards and requirements.
Steel pipe marking and packaging:
According to customer requirements, qualified carbon steel seamless pipes are marked, including marking steel pipe specifications, batch numbers, production dates and other information. Then it is packaged. Common packaging methods include bare tubes, plastic casings, wooden box packaging, etc.
Factory and delivery:
Finally, the packaged carbon steel seamless pipes are shipped or transported to ensure that the products are safely delivered to customers.
